Lint Dryer Play dough
1 cup lint (lightly packed)
7 tablespoons of flour
1/4 cup water
Food coloring paste optional
Put 1/2 cup of dryer lint, water, and flour into a blender. Blend. Now add
the other 1/2 cup and blend until it forms a soft ball. Now your children can make shapes or play with the dough anyway they want. They can also roll out the dough into small balls. Poke holes through the balls/beads with toothpicks.
Allow the beads to dry on newspaper. Allow your child/children to paint their
Beads and string on fishing wire or yarn to make a necklace.
Lemon Squares
1 Cup of Gold Medal all-purpose flour
½ Cup of Margarine or Butter, softened
¼ Cup of Powder Sugar
1 Cup of Sugar
2 Tsp. of grated lemon peel
2 Tab. Of lemon juice
½ Tsp. of baking powder
¼ Tsp. of salt
2 eggs
Heat oven to 350, mix flour, margarine and powder sugar in a small bowl. Press evenly with hands in bottom and about 5/8 inch up side of an ungreased square pan, 8x8x2 inches. (If dough is sticky, flour fingers) Bake 20 min. Beat remaining ingredients in a medium bowl on medium speed until light and fluffy. Pour over hot crust. Bake just until no indentation remains when touched lightly in center, about 25 minutes. Let stand until cool, then cut into squares about 1 ½ -inches. Makes 25 squares
