Sock Octopus Creatures
Supplies:
Tube Sock
Polly Fill
Rubber Band
Google eyes
Marker
Scissors
Instructions:
Take a long tube sock and fill the toe with Polly fill. Create a ball and tie off with a rubber band approximately a 2inch circle for the head. You will now have a ball at the toe of the sock and the rest will be hanging down. Take your scissors and cut eight strips with the remaining sock material. This will be the legs. The rest is up to you, draw eyes, use Google eyes, create a face for your Octopus- Have Fun!!!
Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
1 Cup of all purpose flour
½ Tsp. baking soda
½ Tsp. baking powder
¼ Cup shortening
¼ Cup butter
½ Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup of packed brown sugar
1 egg
2Tbs. milk
½ Tsp. vanilla
¼ Tsp. salt
1Cup quick-cooking rolled oats
¼ Cup Chopped Walnuts-Optional
Instructions:
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a mixing bowl beat together shortening and butter for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat till fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten ingredients and combine. Stir in oats and walnuts. Chill dough for 2 hours; form 1-inch balls and dip in sugar if desired. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes on 375. Makes 36 cookies
