Zebra Toilet Paper Roll

Supplies:
Toilet paper roll
A printer
Colors
Scissors
Glue
Paper
Templates provided by DLTK

Directions:
Print out the template of choice.
Colors (where appropriate) and cut out the template pieces.
Glue the large rectangular piece on first to cover the tube. Toilet paper rolls come in different sizes, so if you find the rectangle is a bit too big, just trim it down. If you find it's a bit too small, just cut out another small piece to fill in the gap.
Glue on the head, legs and tail

Zebra Cookies

3 Cups of Flour
1 Cup of Sugar
2/3 Cups of Powder Sugar
1 Tsp. of Vanilla
1 ¼ Cup of Margarine or Butter
¼ Tsp. of Salt
1 Egg
¼ Cup of Cocoa

Directions:
Mix flour, powder & granulated sugar, vanilla, margarine, salt and egg until dough forms. Divide dough in half and mix cocoa into 1 half of the dough. Sprinkle a surface very lightly with flour. Pat or roll each half of dough on the flour surface into a 9-inch square. Cut each square into three 3-inch strips. Cut strips crosswise into halves. Lift one brown strip half with large spatula and place on plastic wrap. Top with 1 white strip half; press firmly. Top with remaining 10 brown and white strip halves, alternating colors and pressing layers firmly to form into a bar, about 4 ½ inches long, 3 inches wide and 3 inches high. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, 1 to 2 hours. Heat oven to 375, cut bar dough crosswise into slices with floured horse- shape cookie cutter, about 3x2 inches. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake until edges begin to brown, 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool, makes 18 cookies.
