Family Day

Meet the artist. Be the artist. Be the artist’s subject at Family Day! Art lovers young and old are invited to this interactive event in the Bakalar and Paine Galleries. Family Day! is a full day of engaging gallery activities designed around the current exhibition, Selections 10, which features artworks by 23 Mass Art faculty members who are newly hired or returning from sabbatical. Drop in any time from 11 am – 4 pm to explore the exhibition through the lens of our educational theme, The Artist as Investigator. Guided conversations, art making, refreshments, and take-home creations will be offered by Mass Art students and Gallery Education staff. Multiple possibilities for participation a wait: in addition to events inside the galleries, visit one of several working studios on campus for artistic demonstrations, or become the object of an artistic investigation by sitting for a drawn portrait by a Mass Art student artist.
