The Zoppè Italian Family Circus welcomes guests into the intimate 500 seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Italian tradition!
The Chandler Center for the Arts brings the Circus to Chandler December 26 - January 3, including a special performance on New Year’s Eve at 7 p.m.
Starring Nino the clown, the circus is propelled by a central story (as opposed to individual acts) that feature acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. Giovanni Zoppè, the sixth-generation circus performer who plays Nino, says the show aims higher than what passes for circuses these days. "We try to touch every emotion during the show," he says. "They'll laugh, they'll cry, and they'll feel for the characters. It's more of an event than a show."

HOLIDAYS AT THE HEARD Southwest Tradition Offers Perfect Experience to Close Out Holiday Season with Family, Out-of-town Guests
Holidays at the Heard Experience Southwestern and American Indian culture with artist demonstrations, entertaining music, dance performances, book signings and hands-on activities offered at the Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix. Holidays at the Heard is a must-see for your family, friends and out-of-town guests, starting Friday, December 26 and continuing through Sunday, January 3. Visitors can enjoy frybread and hot cocoa or apple cider as they experience American Indian music and dance performances including Navajo and Hopi dancers as well as crowd favorites like hoop dancing and fancy dancing. In addition to performances twice daily at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., visitors can also enjoy 10 exhibit galleries including HOME: Native People in the Southwest as well as two exhibits that feature hands-on craft activities and artwork that are perfect for families. Also, American Indian artists will demonstrate their work, and the Shop will have book signings nearly every day. Visitors can also browse items in the Shop or have lunch at The Café at the Heard Museum during Holidays at the Heard. Holidays at the Heard is presented by Boeing.
